Fresh Dragon Fruit- White Flesh

Vietnam is the only country in Asia producing dragon fruits on a commercial scale. Originating in Central America, the dragon fruit plants were brought to Vietnam more than 50 years ago and after that production and export ballooned to 400,000 tonnes in 2013. The dragon fruit sets on cactus-like trees 30–50 days after flowering and can sometimes have 5-6 cycles of harvests per year. Some of our contract farmers produce 30 tons of fruit per hectare every year.

The most commonly cultivated variety by our GAP certified contract farmers is the white-fleshed dragon fruit. Red-fleshed dragon fruit, which is slightly sweeter, is also produced by our farmers, but is available in smaller quantities. We supply our dragon fruit loose and on trays to domestic and international customers.
